Why native
Because a website in full screen is not an app.
Record, scan, share, keep working offline: those are the four things that matter on the move, and they are exactly what a web view cannot do properly.
Both apps are built for the iPhone, not for a browser in full screen. They keep working when the network does not, and they can be used with enlarged type and with VoiceOver.
Recording with consent
A consent step comes before every recording. Covert recording is a criminal offence — that belongs in the tool, not in a staff handbook.
Scanning
Receipts and documents straight from the camera, deskewed and text-recognised. Where the scanner is unavailable the app says so instead of showing a dead button.
On the same records
No second account, no second dataset. What you capture on the move is there in the office — and the other way round.
Distribution
How the apps reach your devices.
Through the App Store or your device management. On first launch the address of your instance is enough — the app fetches the server address, sign-in method and brand colour from it. Nobody has to type technical details.
